The City of London is renowned around the world for its picturesque mix of landmark attractions and iconic buildings. From the Old Bailey, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Shard to a diverse mix of squares, parks, and streets, the city is steeped in rich culture and history. A constant hive of activity, London is one of the most exciting and vibrant cities in the UK and the world. Offering a catalogue of high-profile fashion outlets, world famous restaurants, and some of the best nightlife in the world, the capital city is bursting with a whole host of activities, museums, and events to enjoy all year round.
Having completed your London Tour, you will travel on the underground train to Theydon Bois, right in the heart of the Essex countryside where you will enjoy a late lunch in a 400-year-old inn in the heart of the Essex countryside.
First stop: Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge (one of the few timbers framed buildings surviving from the 16th Century). There’s something quite wonderful about the rolling hills of the English countryside providing the perfect opportunity to escape the busy and sometimes overwhelming streets of London. This Tour allows you to chill out and relax in the most tranquil of surroundings. The Essex Countryside Tour includes a visit to the Roding Valley Nature Reserve where you will be able to walk along the river, whilst taking in the many sights and sounds the area has to offer. But that’s not all, you’ll also drive past a deer sanctuary and even get the opportunity to take in the breath taking, panoramic view of London’s iconic skyline from Paul End and take in some of the capital’s most distinguishable landmarks seen from Essex.
The Tour will end with a relaxing drive through Chigwell Village and Hainault Forest and Lake, allowing you to truly absorb everything that this beautiful area has to offer before retreating back to the city. You will end the Tour at Theydon Bois, where you will be able to catch the Central Line underground to London or back to Chancery Lane.
