Somerset is full of history and Chigwell Tours & Visits have introduced a unique hop-stopping whistle tour of Somerset. After a drive through the countryside, our first, optional stop is by the gothic ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, a town mostly famous for its annual festival. Wells, the smallest city in England, is our second stop, where you can admire the magnificent Cathedral Church of Saint Andrew and the Bishop’s palace, before heading to the quaint village of Cheddar, perfectly situated at the end of the gorge, creating a picturesque landscape like no other. Here you will also have the choice of exploring the famous, ancient caves.
We then travel to Bath for a walking tour to discover the interesting city where you will have some free-time to discover the Roman Baths* and Roman Market before returning to London. The journey back will provide the opportunity to view Stone Henge as we drive past on our way back to London.
